Acacia calamifolia

Description

An ornamental upright medium shrub with slender branches, slightly weeping, with narrow phyllodes (leaves) & profuse bright yellow flowers. This beautiful hardy plant is suitable for most soils and situations (including alkaline soils). Useful as a low shelter plant for protection against the elements. The bark is used in tanning.

Propagation Information: Seed germinates readily. Pour boiling water over seed and let soak overnight. Drench seed with a fungicide to prevent "Damping Off" after sowing.
