Leucadendron salignum

Description

Medium sized beautiful shrub with purple-red flower heads and red stems all summer. Tolerant of most well-drained soil types and conditions. Like all leucadendrons they must be grown in full sun for good colors otherwise they tend to be green foliage rather than the beautiful rainbow colors they show all year. Excellent cut flower and screen. Frost tolerant and growing well in Ojai. Many forms available; 'Blush', 'Candles', 'Winter Red', 'Summer Red'.
