Spreading shrub or small gnarled tree with rough grey bark with orange patches and greenish-yellow flowers in spring and summer. Adaptable to wide range of soil types and conditions - coastal or inland and cool mountain areas. Tolerant of wet conditions. Interesting large seed pods. Great for large containers. Propagation Information: No pre-treatment required. Seed germinates readily 4-12 weeks. Sow seed in mix 3:1 Perlite:Peat and cover the depth of the seed. Keep moist until germination occurs. I prefer to sow in individual containers to prevent damage to the root system. Drench seed with a fungicide after sowing to prevent "Damping Off'.
