Eremophila maculata

Description

Ornamental shrub with narrow green leaves and spotted red tubular flowers. Prefers well-drained heavy soils, tolerates some water-logging, partial shade to full sun. Prune when young for compact growth habit. Foliage is known to be toxic to sheep and cattle. Grows well in perennial or arid gardens. Hardy low hedge or screen. Several forms available. E. maculata 'Lutea' a yellow flowering form and E. maculata 'Carmine Star' - a pink-red flowering form.
