Description

Highly ornamental open shrub 6-9' with large pink-red flowers. Prefers well-drained acid-neutral soils. Likes a cool moist position. Very frost and snow tolerant. Excellent cut flower. Prune heavily after flowering for flower production the following year. Excellent container plant. Attractive seed pods. Slow growing and more suitable for northern California, Oregon & Washington.
