Acacia saligna

Description

A fast growing hardy tree to 20-30'. Messy at times, drops seed pods after flowering profusely and branches tend to break in strong winds. Very ornamental in flower and suitable for large gardens and parks. Useful as a windbreak & shelter-belt. Good for erosion control and is semi-salt tolerant. Could possibly become a weed species as some seed germinates easily without treatment.
