Protea scolymocephala

Description

Small compact shrub with light green linear leaves and profuse small (for a protea) flower heads that are creamy green with a flush of red on the outer bracts. Lovely small shrub for smaller gardens or containers. Buds appear in autumn and flowers in winter-spring. Great cut flower for posies or smaller arrangements. Grows well at the beach.
